Has anyone been to the Hotel Club San Remo in San Antonio Bay?

Seen this hotel on the travelrepublic site at a very reasonable price, but can't seem to find any reviews anywhere - any information will be gratefully received

the hotel has recently been refurbished last year and is the sister hotel of the s'estanyol next door, its in a great location, literally on the beach and only about 20mins walk to the centre of san an. I stayed in the s'estanyol a few years back but before the modernisation.

We have reviews but the last one was back in 2005 so since before the refurbishment.

the san remo and s'estamyol are no longer part of the fiesta chain and may not have had any uk visitors just yet. weren't the new owners doing them up all last summer?

Yep thats right, all rooms have bee totally refurbished now including aircon, the pool has been doubled in size and the ground floor which used to have a restaurant fronting the beach is now apartments! I was there last year in august and they hadnt finished them at that time but they seem to be much better than previously, I was wondering whether they were going to be private apartments to be honest.?

I didn't realise the hotel used to be part of the Fiesta group.
Lukey, I know the hotel is in a great position as we've stayed twice at the Nautilus, which is a couple of hotels down. Glad to hear that the pool has been extended as on the photos we've seen, there was very little room around the pool for sunbeds.

Anyone know if another hotel chain has bought the San Remo?

we were talkin to people in there last year and it seems to be mainly italians. dont think any UK tour operators are going there now. Xaloc has been bought out by the same people, and you can use the facilities in all 3 hotels.

This group appears to have bought most of the hotels on the island, the Sol Bay, Costa Sur and Sol Post are theirs also, the deco in all the hotels is the same, they must have bought in bulk order. We stayed in the Costa Sur in October last year half board and you couldn't fault it, great food and spotless enjoyed it so much that we have booked again for May

well you can book the san remo through wintersunshineholidays.com and alpharooms ive just been looking at it so its obvioulsy available although maybes not through tour operators only diy.
