am looking at possibility of going to one of these hotels in next 2 weeks.
does anyone know if the pool at these hotels gets the sun on it all day, or are the pools on the wrong side and only warm up in late afternoon.

If i remember correctly the sun is on the front all day, so you should be ok, but i only stayed at the Esplai, not too sure about the Bon Repos.
We stopped in Bon Repos recently - the pool gets fairly good sun till the early evening...in fact mid afternoon it can get a bit too hot on the floor and the pool is the place to be....
