Hi, Whether it is true or not our travel agent told us it was being marketed as new for this year,they said it was one of the Sentido hotels with lovely Gardens and fancy LED lighting. unlikely to be any reviews until later in the season unless someone knows what it was in aprevious existence!

We are due to go there next Tuesday (24th) at first the reviews that were on trip adviser were excellent, but apparently the hotel changed hands and reopening this month, the reviews are now coming in really bad - cold raw food, rude staff who dont speak english and not enough to staff to deal with the number of people there, nowhere to sit as not enough seats in restaurant or bar, dirty beach, hotel is on the side of a busy dual carriagway, children there, some rooms still be refurbished etc etc.

The hotel is marketed as 4 stars, adults only premier hotel We paid £1,200 for 1 week A/I with First Choice. I have phoned them to ask them if they can put us in another hotel but they said no, they said go there and if its as bad as it sounds ask to be moved when we are there. Anyone know what my rights are?

At this late stage, if you cancel you'll lose your money. I would do as they suggested, go and see for yourself and if you aren't satisfied, speak to your rep and ask to be moved. Although reviews are very useful in gaining information and getting a feel for a place, take them with a large pinch of salt. Reviews are generally only posted when guests having something to rave about or complain about. There's generally a bias on the complaints side as many won't bother posting a review if everything was fine. I've stayed at hotels before that that have had horrid reviews, but I've found them more than adequate. The only person that can say what it's like is you as a lot of things are often your personal perception. What works for one, doesn't for another. You never know, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks, I have found some reviews on trip adviser and it does look lovely so am going to book it for May, so hope its as good as it looks.
