I also recommend the Beach house Hotel.It is run by a lovely couple and their family,Penny (Australian) and Ali(turkish).Their resturant ,the Soundwaves next door is the best in Side,in my opinion.Take Penny some PG tips pyramid t bags if you book there.Thomson have it in their small and friendly brochure but you can book direct.

Is the hotel within walking distance to the bars/restaurants?

The hotel is right in the centre of Side overlooking the sea in the old town.There are lots of bars and resturants nearby.The hotel has a small resturant on the ground floor where guests have breakfast and serve snacks during the day.The Soundwaves resturant is next door and does amazing food.It looks like an old ship on the outside.When we went last March it was closed for refurbishment,but the first time we went to Side we ate there 13 out of 14 nights.
