Nothing will go wrong! The place is geared up for kids really, so there will be other kids around for her to befriend (that's mainly why we go back here). We took our 5-year old daughter. It was our fourth time here - she loves it. It's acceptable for mummy and daddy. Weather great, location is good (nice stroll down to the beach, near a supermarket, near some attractions etc.)
There's no real strict dress code IMO. As long as his legs are covered - I think that would be enough. It's only for evening meal too. The place is pretty informal, really.
Thanks, may do a do it yourself next year if we enjoy it! Dont mean to be personal, but what did you wear on your legs, jeans, trackys or trousers?
jeans/chinos.
Been told there are 2 hotels, one being Jardin Isla Bonita and Isla Bonita, we are going to Jardin Isla Bonita, is that the one you went to? Apparently they are across the road from each other.
lovely new rep for the summer in the isla bonita by the way..... from slovakia....... ask her if she's polish.... she loves that !!!!! names Alex
If you weren't already aware that they were supposedly separate hotels, you wouldn't notice - they're not even across the road from one another, the facilities are shared.
Thanks Youv'e been a great help! Any other tips are most welcome!
Another question villian, can children go onto the internet there? Are there any computers available for them to play on?
They've installed 4 or 5 PCs in the reception area. I think it was 1 euro for 10 minutes, 2 euros for 20 minutes.
Thanks villian, my daughter is sooo pleased! She can email her best friend now!!

Hi, we are off to the Isla Bonita in 2 weeks. Anyone been there and can tell us where the quiet rooms are and if there is any difference between Isla Bonita and Isla Jardin. Also it is as bad as other review sites say. Thanks
Just booked a week here at Easter, any ideas what it is like nowadays, havent stayed at this hotel since 1996.
Hi barnio ... while you wait for some feedback here, have you seen our latest reviews of the hotel ?
Stayed in the Isla Bonita for two long week-ends, one in December and one in January of this year. For me it's in an excellent location. The rooms are ok but could do with some refurbishing. AI drink ok but I'm not a lager drinker. Two pools you can use but didn't have a dip so don't know if they are heated (something tells me one might be.) I found the staff and reception friendly but the food not so good. I'm not a fish eater so if you are you should be ok. Liked the fact at dinner etc you can get a bottle of wine for the table. Maids every day. In December we had a room at the front looking onto main road and got the sun from around 3.30pm. In January on 4th floor overlooking a pool and was ok. Have poolside games and evening entertainment (December still outside but January inside). Can't think of anything else but any queries just send me a pm.

Thought the place was excellent value for money...couldnt fault it at all. See my report on this site. Pity though about the British whingers....yes there was families who needed to get home....yes there was families who had kids doin GCSE's...at the end of the day nobody could go home. People were put up in a hotel on All Inclusive free of charge.....and then one mother complained when she let her 3 year old daughter go for her own plate at breakfast and said she'd burnt her fingers! The mind boggles!!
