When we were at the Manuela last May, the Makumba had just finished rebuilding the Hotel. So you should find everything fairly new.

I think the apartments and hotel are together. Near to the beach too.

looked OK last year to me. It was one option that we looked at, but we chose the Okaliptus again.
Doubt if you will be dissapointed.

hi we have been to bitez 3 times and stayed at summer gardens twice. it is a great place the staff were excellent and the time passed too quickly. going to torba for a change this year but bitez will probably be our holiday destination again next year.

Mickybhoy, did you stay in the hotel or the apartments?
My sister-in-law stayed in the apartments last year and had a geat time. I can't seem to find much info on the hotel, only that the hotel is nearer to the beach than the apartments.
The hotel seems quite small, exactly what we like.

From what you all say seems like we've made a good choice.
Any other info on the hotel or Bitez would be greatly appreciated,

hi we stayed in the apartments twice but used the hotel facilities as they were owned by the same people at the time.
we also stayed in the ambrosia hotel in 2000 but it wasnt as good. too formal.
bitez is a great place the boat trips are cheap, we went on three each time we went and negotiated the price at the start. we used the four seasons and blue moon resturuants and value for money was excellent.
if your going to the water park go alone by taxi rather than useing a formal tour its much cheaper and you can get there earlier and leave when you want. take lots of suncream your up high and the sun is stronger.
we are going to torba late july for a change and will go to bitez for the day just to see old friends as the people dont forget you. they and the culture are excellent
i would be surprised if you didnt enjoy the place.
