have a look at this site..........
Hi, Llindy. Thanks for quick reply. Map is just what I wanted. Brilliant!
Here's another one:
Hi, Aslemma. Again thanks for the map. I now have a fair idea where I will be staying. Don't go until the end of October, but avidly soaking up any info I can, before I go. My OT thinks I am quite mad having read over 800 topics on Tunisia but my excuse is that we have to know everything before we go. I think I have now scoured the internet for every review and every scrap of info I can find. I will be shattered before my holiday if I keep this up
Hi Digby, i'm the same as you cant get enough info , and have found this site and Asleema very helpful, i am also going at the end of October , and have recently changed hotels from the Royal Kenz to the Marhaba Palace , looking at the maps i think its a change in the right direction as its closer to the port , we will wander up to the Kenz to see what its like , where are you staying . i do apologi8se for being slightly
Hi, Llindy. We are staying at the Riu Imperial marhaba. I think it's quite far out but then we thought the hotel looked so nice when we saw it on TV. We may yet regret being so far out, but if the weather is decent we wont mind the walk.
Both of you have chosen lovely hotels in PEK. Llindy, we always stay in Marhaba Palace but booked the Kanta across the road for this recent holiday. Not much to choose between the two, both are friendly and comfortable, Marhaba on the beach though. We use the El Kantaoui Golf Course when in PEK, and just for the record........it's a lovely walk round the course (pathways) you don't have to be a golfer to get some exercise and see some fabulous views from the top of the course right over PEK and up to Sousse. Trust me it's worth the effort. (take a bottle of water, it gets hotter up the hill).
Digby....we visited friends in the Riu Imperial Marhaba and enjoyed a lovely evening in their hotel, yes it is a bit further from the Marina, but like I say, if you don't mind a walk on holiday, it's not really that far. Enjoy...... we are missing Tunisia already, only got back Wed 26th Aug, I could go back again tomorrow!!! I wish.
Llindy, we did go back to the LeMeditteranean Restaurant ( in the Marina) on the Saturday evening of our stay. Food is just as good as I remember from last time, and I know you will be able to have lunch instead of dinner at the Marhaba on the day you choose to have a meal at the Port. The weather has been fantastic recently, we had a week of 34-38deg. average. Hope it continues for you all in October. Have a great holiday......... Elsa.
Ps.. Digby, where are you from?? We are East Lothian, Scotland.
Elsa2. Thanks for that, It all sounds lovely to me. Just counting the weeks now. From Western Isles but on the mainland quite often. Were visiting a friend in your part of the world last month--Trannent. Lovely friendly folk! Will be flying from Glasgow this time. Usually fly from Edinburgh at holiday time but no flights to Tunisia in Oct. from there. Sorry
