I just caught a glimpse of the Hotel Mare Nostrum on Thomson TV for which myself, wife and 4 year old are booked to go to in mid July this year 05'

Is it really as big as it looked?

I was under the impression it wasn't a massive complex at all?

It just looked huge...............

This is quite a big hotel, we have stayed there for the last 4 years but are having a change this year. The pool is a good size and there is a football court and tennis court, also there is a small play area for the kids. I am sure you will have a great time at this hotel.

We stayed at the Mare Nostrum last October and have indeed booked to go back this October!!

Fairly big hotel but was half empty when we went.

Very good hotel though with an excellent choice of food.

Enjoy and roll on October!! 8)

We stayed here a few years ago. It was ok, but there were loads of mozzys about and we got loads of bites. The food was ok and the rooms were ok also. There were only ceiling fans at the time of our visit and the nights were too hot in the bedrooms. The hotel is close to the flight path of the incomming flights, but to be honest we did not encounter any noise problems.

have stayed in mare nostrum a couple of times great hotel for familys, as well as the party people has loads of entertainment for young and old
no noise from flights overhead there is a bar across the road on the beach think it is called the bullbar go out for a couple of drinks and there is plenty to entertain the kids.the hotel has entertainment every evening loved playing bingo (sad i know at 34yrs) but was great fun and won quite a few euros

We stayed there in 2002, rooms ok but could have done with air conditioning. Food was good (as in no tummy upsets) lots of cold meats salads and chips pasta etc
Small shop in foyer selling swimming stuff and gifts.
Found resort to be very tacky lots of porn in you face, a bit bad for kids. (looking at keyrings of views then you find porno shots  )and im very open minded.
Pool was a good size, but the usual rush on sunbeds :D

Just about to go to the Mare Nostrum in 2 weeks time. Can anyone who has been recently let me know if you still get allocated a table in the restaurant and then thats your table for the duration of your stay.
If any one can also tell me if there is plenty for kids to do in the hotel and resort as i am taking my 6 & 2 year old sons with me.

Any info would be appreciated. :D

Hi,We went to the mare nostrum last year and really enjoyed it,it was an allocation on arrival and we weren't disappointed, alot of nationalities. we've been back to ibiza 2 this year so decided to go and have another look around.we went last week,20th august. wow, they have recently refurbished and it looks amazing.alot of things to do,air conditioning in the rooms, sauna, jacuzzi,it looks lovely.sounds wierd but we met the same couple we met last year and they had gone back this year.she said its brill, but thomson are pulling out of the hotel next year but doesn't say why,she said the staff were rude sometimes.we found the spanish used the hotel as a base at night time, but they weren't noisy.
I saw lots of children and enetertainment was going on for them.the hotel is good as you can easily walk to figueritas and then into ibiza town as we did every night.enjoy your stay as we did...kats

We went to this hotel last year and the tables were not allocated but we did not have a problem getting a table. The previous years we did have an allocated table but we went early June so maybe when it gets higher season they might. Just noticed that this hotel is with Direct Holidays next year and not Skytours.
