It's a good walk into Ixia and an even better one to Rhodes town. There's an excellent bus service into Rhodes with a bus stop 50 metres away. There are only a couple of tavernas nearby, but the Mythos is great in a pint glass.
Trianda is a bus ride for you, Petaloudes buses run past on the other side of the road.
It's well worth hiring a car for 3 days, just to drive around the island.
