I've got a couple of elderly relatives going to the Rosaire in September. Haven't told them about the building works or the fleas yet. Thought I would watch this site for further info before upsetting them. Does anyone know if there is still a problem?
you cannot hear anything whilst at the Rosaire.A priority for elderly people MUST be low floor accomodation, either 1st or 2nd. The lifts are always busy or broke and very very tiny, in fact almost as tiny as the rooms
Stayed here for 1 night last week when the Rosamar was overbooked. Rooms are small and dingy, the breakfast was horrible. Wouldn't recommend.
Exactly how long have they been rebuilding the Rosaire for?

It seems like that and they have gutted it, and I can't say I'm thrilled with the new name......
Flash.....that will always remind me of summat I clean my toilet with.
It looks very futuristic, but the colour of the walls in some of the bedrooms is enough to make me run to the bathroom and then have to use the flash.
Lime green and shocking pink/purple splashes of a colour theme, running throughout .....
IMO: It'll look as tacky as its name in a few years, why the eck couldn't someone have come up with a Spanish name.?

I stayed in the Calypso during the construction of the underground car parks and despite warnings, it wasn't really that bad. Since first going in 1969 I don't think I've ever had a holiday where I've not heard any building noise.
its a good 3 years now they have been refitting. the Rosaire.new pool area begin done as well.
I for some reason remember it closing down just after the underground car park was completed infront of the Calypso

From what I can remember of the Rosaire pool, they'll have to work miracles because it was small and in the shade most of the time, because it was shadowed by the Rosaire and the Pelicanos, because the sun rises in the Sierra Helada mountains behind/near the cross and works its way around, and doesn't reach that side of the Pelicanos facing the Rosaire's pool until well into the afternoon ....consequently, I never saw anyone use the Rosaire's pool when we had a room in the Pelicanos with a balcony overlooking the area.
Maybe they've acquired some more land or just cut the already small sunbed area down to increase the pool size?

I stayed in the Pelicanos and it really was like being in Beirut, even the hotel shook when they used the piledriver.
One word...Horrendous!

Looking good from the outside.
Enjoyed the video, Sanji The rooms look good facing towards the sea, pity that the pool may be obstructed by shadows from itself and other hotels though. Must pop in to have a look next time we are in Benidorm!!
Thanks for the update photo DJ Woody
