Haven't been there this year but stayed at the Park in September 2004 on all inclusive. The email you got is correct - half board only in the pionero and all inclusives are put in the Park. The best rooms we found were overlooking the pool i.e 201-210,301-310,401-410,501-510 with the first number being the floor. We requsted a high floor / pool view and were very happy with 502. Other rooms look onto the car park or onto the Rey Don Jaime hotel.

How many floors high is the hotel and what is the lift situation like

Don't know in which part of the hotel the single rooms are located. The hotel is like a "T" shape with four floors one way and five floors the other. There are two lifts next door to each other and we never had any problems with waiting times or anything even though they are the standard 8 person lifts. The stairs are also located by the lifts and people on the lower floors just used these.
