Hi
We are visiting this hotel in october this year ,and we just wondered if anybody has had any good/bad expierences there over the last few years,or any more info that could be helpful to us? cheers
We stayed at this hote 2 years ago and it is in a great location. It is right on the beach front, well beach walkway as there is no beach right in front of the hotel, but there are rocks and this area gets great waves. Thus making it ideal for surfers and there is usually loads of them here every night. And it's real nice to sit on a bench and watch them. The good beaches are a 5 min walk either left or right. The location is great for some good bars. Here is a list of some great bars for you to visit, and there not far from where you are staying.

The hotel is made up of 2 buildings with reception being in the middle on the ground level. Rooms are your average hotel room size, 2 single beds,
telly and very clean bathrooms. But they are clean and maid service is good.Balconys are a bit on the small size. There is 2 swimming pools and there is a bit of a garden area where you can also sunbathe. The hotel does daily entertainment for adults and kids.
here is a link for you to see your hotel.

I really enjoyed this hotel especially the location. The only 1 thing which i was a little dissapointed with was the food. although this hotel is a 4* i thought that the food was more on par with a 3*. But the food was very nicely presented, just not up to the 4* food that the hotel Gala did.
But you have picked a very well located hotel in a great area with some good bars not to far away.
have a nice time. xx
Thanks for the info, now we will just have to wait till October
Going to tenerife on the 29th of September, does anyone know if the sol tenerife hotel is any good?
Hi Alison,There seem to be mixed reviews about this hotel.Quite a few listed under Hotel Tenerife(Sol)in the hotel review section.Have a nice time when you go.
Reception very efficient.
Evening entertainment, not sure we never use hotels for this.
Very tiny balconies, and beware they are see-through. I'll not tell you what we witnessed outside Leonardos one TEA time. Girl leaning over balcony with boyfriend behind. But it gave us a great laugh.
My only downside about this hotel is that the food is not up to 4* standard. Although nice i have eaten in much better 4* hotels.
super super location
Thanks for your replys! I am sure i will have a great time! Looking forward to it!
I am also going to the sol tenerife on the 4th october and i too have heard mixed reviews but we will just to have to wait and see .
Be sure to get yourselves down to the strip and visit some great bars, and go to the patch and have a look at Brewers Droop.
Wicked Chris:Could you tell me if their is a good variety of food available at this hotel as my my other half can be a little fuusy !
Even if the food is maybe not as good quality as other 4* hotels that you have stayed in,as long as the rooms are comfortable and the sun is shining that is all that matters -am i not right??
Going to Hotel Sol on the 2nd October for 2 weeks. Looking forward to it but read it is very close to Veronicas.. And read about the food being only 2* class... Has anyone just come back and what did they think of the hotel..... Also can anyone e- mail a map for me of round the area.
TO ALLMEN.
Me and my girlfriend are also going to the sol tenerife on 3rd october for two weeks and have also heard various views on this hotel.
The only really negative thing i have heard is about the food not being 4* standard, not really awful, but not what you would expact at a 4* hotel.
We shall just have to wait and see.
Hope you enjoy yourself because i will
Paul
If the food isn't great i will just eat out because a meal in las americas isn't costly! Try the Full Monty pub to at the patch!
Apart from the food the hotel seems to be quite good.I have read several reviews on many websites and like i say ,apart from the food the reviews have been very good.
Anyway i will find out in only 18 days what the hotel is like but i wont lose sleep over it
Im sure like myself and my missus you will have a great time at the sol tenerife
stayed there a few years ago, rooms are fab very much like travel lodge, premier lodge type rooms. Hotel very nice, pool area fantastic. food was not up to much but standard stuff. was a load of germans in the hotel not that it matters.
fanastic hotel, bang slap in middle of las americas. Pool are fab, rooms very clean bit like a travel lodge style room. Food wasnt up to much but its cheap to eat out and does for the odd meal now and again but i wouldnt let that worry you.
But we spent a fair ammount of time at the Sol tenerife too..
The hotel itself to be honest is shabby and really seriously needs a makeover it looked like somthing out of the 1970's and it was dirty abit grubby and tatty looking. The staff and entertainment was ok.. reps were funny although a little over zealous about stealing children to play with :0) which means really they are doing there job i suppose but it kinda got to the point you were hiding from them.
The food was ok, deserts were fab but at the time my parents kept being stuck at the outdoor food bit which when it rained became seriously hazardous as waiters skidded by dropping plates and food so takea tip from me get to the upstairs restaurant as its better but always very busy..
The actual rooms themselves were abit pokey and small but had new furniture however i thanked god that Airtours messed up our holiday arrangements ( we were meant to go there with my parents) but as they got the room allocation wrong they had to send us to the bitacora instead ( which to be honest spoilt us!) so we got a welcome escape. The bathroom was not to nice either.
The only positive thing about the place is the location to be honest but then even that can be a hindence my parents didn't sleep for the 2 weeks they were there as it was so loud at night...
Enjoy
