Hi,
We are looking at hotels in Verona for 1, maybe 2 nights in September...
It needs to be very close to the Amphitheater and have parking (either free or chargeable) as we are driving and also have tickets to see Eros Ramazotti on the 11th ...the performance doesn't start till 9pm so will be finishing quite late and we don't want to be roaming too far at midnight, gone, in back alleys etc...
Any suggestions
Thanks, Katy x
We went to the opera last summer and stayed at Hotel Accademia. Lovely hotel 5 to 10 minute stroll from the Arena. Just off the main shopping street which is pedestrianised.
Secure parking for which there is a charge of about 23 euros a day.
The opera finished at 1.20 a.m. Lots of happy people strolling about . Restaurants and bars stay open. The hotel reception was still fully manned and they were interested enough to ask if we had enjoyed the evening and spent time chatting to us in perfect English.
We spent 3 nights here. Everything was perfect. Great breakfast with hot and cold items.
You have nothing to worry about the city is geared up for the opera season.
Regards.
J
