Sonesta beach resort isnt directly on the beach, but if you choose the executive rooms (over the standard ones) they are on the main pathway leading to the beach, basically a 10 second walk. Up market rooms with a whirl pool bath and shower in an alcove, huge bed , everything marble, swish curtains, own patio and two sliding windows. Also own dressing gown and slippers and free fruit and mini cakes most days delivered to your room.
The hotel is about a 15 mins walk into the centre of Naama bay so no need for transport if you do not wish to. Passing lots of entertainment on route and hotels and shops.
Where as in other resorts they have bigger beaches, Sonesta beach and casino is compact but pretty the way it is laid out. You can see for miles all around Naama Bay if situated on the cliff top. I have never had a problem being to close to anyone as such, but it can get very busy. I don't personally like remote beaches where i cannot really have a chin wag with the locals, as some are well spaced out.
SBR is a hotel i have been to 8 times and back for my ninth in November.
Good luck with your research.
