just how bad would things have had to get before someone mentioned it to the cabin crew!!
This was a FlyBe internal flight, I'm glad to see that when they take business of the railways they are also taking their share of the "intellectually challenged" punters.....
But then I was once sat at the front of a bus when I noticed a smell of burning. I couldn't see anything unusual by me so I turned round and saw smoke quite clearly emerging from around the back seat - which still had passengers sat on it! I told the driver who stopped the bus and told us all to get off and move a safe distance away. By now flames could be seen coming out of the engine compartment at the rear of the bus. When I asked one of the passengers sat at the back why they hadn't raised the alarm sooner they told me that they had wondered whether something might be the matter because the seat was getting ver hot, almost too hot to sit on but weren't sure so thought they'd wait and see! I was left wondering just how much longer they'd have waited before getting up and raising the alarm if I had not told the driver when I did!
