Hi all
just booked the brilliant apartments protras for next year, went 2 years ago would recommend to anyone fantastic, anyway how far from protaras to troodos mountain ? tried to do this trip last time but turned round as our little girl not to good in a car

Troodos are at the other end of the Island nearer to Pafos, best bet book a jeep safari, you won't be able to enjoy the day if you're driving and the jeep safari drivers are experts and know all the best routes to see things and best routes for some real 4x4'ing....

I would definitely recommend the jeep safaris. Ive done them twice and loved every minute of it. Going to do it again next year we go back Ayia Napa. A little village called Omodos is really lovely, sells lace, rugs etc. Im hoping the next jeep safari I go on does stop there on the way back. Its so quaint!

I didn't know there was a landrover scrapyard! I suppose they gotta go somewhere though! I dont think it is as its only a tiny village.

I was sure it was "orm" or some such.. sort of between larnaca and Protaras..

had to check the photos from last year but it was "Ormideia" just outside Larnaka. We called in for a quick stop on the way home from the jeep safari (as our driver wanted to check up on something they were working on) As I have a vague interest and my brother loves Landrovers I couldn't resist taking a few snap shots (yes thats right, on holiday taking pictures in a scrapyard... I know I know...)

my real hobby is food and you should see the looks when the waiter brings you a plate of stifado and you start taking pictures of it... :lol:

your going to ask to see photos of food now aren't you?... lol

they are stored away somewhere on disk (had to install windows XP on this machine so all lost off here) so would take some finding, then I don't have anywhere to host them anymore.....

but yes, got plenty of shots of food... (I took over 1000 photos while on holiday and a good percentage had food in them... lol )

sad but true...

I'm sure one or two would not be a peoblem buit 1000 I don't think so

Steve just upload some onto the site and I can take it from there, nothing too outrageous please. We have had membrs place a lot of picture of food in the past, things like the presentation or very large steaks etc so a little, just enough to tempt or get the taste buds going please.
