Sorry that I unwittingly caused offence by posting in the wrong place.
Thank you jimd-f and Chivas for trying to 'repair' the damage and inconvenience caused by my post. Possibly the best thing now would be for the Mods to remove the post altogether.

Noooo, we'll keep it on track! :)
When on holiday and you're out in your shorts and t-shirt and it decides to bucket down what do you do?

Emergency ponchos, thats what you need, especially if you're quite a walk from a bar! Usually they are about a pound or euro each and can easily slip into a bag or pocket!

If though you don't have an emergency poncho or are not near to a bar just grab a passing child and hold them above your head. There are usually loads of them about, especially at times when they should be in school! It might be an idea though to make sure you know the child first as you don't want to end up on the register!

A dreadful way to treat a small child :yikes I would run into the nearest shop/bar.

Actually if this isn't a joke it's a case for the Child Protection Agency, what sort of parent would treat their infant in this way.

That poor child.

But on holiday head for the nearest cover. In Florida we carried ponchos everywhere since it was guaranteed to rain at least once a day there without notice.

It's not funny really,I think I'd have said something to him,I would have tucked the little one inside my jacket if I got caught in a shower whilst out with a baby.

My 2 children are both adults now but they still remember getting soaked to the skin in a downpour in Bodnant Gardens when they were small.
I dont know whether my 2 are mad but children seem to like getting wet . :rofl
