I find if you have very bad service in a restaurant/bar it is better to tip them very small than leave nothing at all!
For example we had a bad meal in Benidorm and rubbish service and when the bill came we tipped 20 cents!
Usually we tip about 10%
Again save up the change for the maids!
I don't normally complain about either a bad meal or bad service, but my daughter does. When we were in Santorini last year 3 of us ordered lemon chicken, and none of us could eat it. It was like sucking the juice direct from a lemon. My daughter explained that it was impossible to eat it and we were give 2 complimentary bottles of wine between 6 of us and free deserts for all.
