How Quiet.

I was in Spain from the 9th to 23rd August based at the Stella Hotel in Pineda, spent a lot of time in Calella which was exceptionally busy, a couple of days spent in Santa Susannah during the day I did not notice anything unusual but it was quieter than Calella. It was the first time I have been so late in the season and was a bit apprehensive about the weather based upon Lindy's experience last year, but it was very hot for most of the time.

I went to Lloret in April and it was packed.

I was shocked as I expected it to be very quiet at that time of year.

Don't know about Malgrat and Santa Susana though.

Cheers

Got back from Santa Susanna last week went with Ferris, Santa Susanna is quiet compared to Malgrat which was a short distance away Santa Susanna appeared to be more European than Malgrat with less English lots of middle classed Europeans

my general impression is that there are less brits around this year and more older russian and other continental people.
the dutch dont seem to be as prevalent as in the past.
this usually means that the hotels are a bit quieter during the day as they tend to go on more trips, so you get the impression that the resort is quieter.(when you go for dinner you soon learn otherwise).
i was talking to people who have gone with ferris earlier in the year and they were saying that ferris were not running as many coaches as normal. i must say that i dont recollect seeing as many in lloret or malgrat, but that may just mean that everyone is going to calella.i also dont recollect seeing that many siesta coaches, but have seen more sunways than i remember seeing in the past.

I have gone to the Costa Brava for years travelling with Ferris and noticed the last two times that there were not as many coaches about. I found the travelling too much last year so decided to fly and go somewhere else, we went to Rhodes and again not many Brits at all ,mainly Dutch and Scandinavians also Italians. But as i said earlier people that i know that have been said it was much quieter than other years, Ferris seems to be fully booked for the rest of the season , so it cant be that bad.

I think you will find that most coach operators are still quite solidly booked, as they have cut back their operations a lot

This forum has certainly been quieter this year i would say

Just back from Lloret yesterday(27th) and the place is packed to the rafters - no rooms with Htop at all and there wasn't a parking space for miles !
A few Brits but Spanish, French and German mainly.
