We are going to Eygpt on the July 7th I have been imformed by my other half that the world cup final is on the ninth If in the unlikely event of England get to the final(i have told him to keep taking the medication ) How widespread are Tvs in hotelbars or pubs and is it likely to be widely shown. Which resort are you staying in?
i have to say that if you are staying in a hotel where there are a english then you should be ok. we went to maragarita last year,a german hotel but a lot of english. they showed the europian cup final,much to the anoyance of the germans!!

We are staying at the Grand Azure in Sharm el sheikh From what I have read there are a lot of russians staying at this hotel
The Camel bar in Sharm shows all the football. Really nice bar aswell.
There was an English bar - can't remember the name - that had it on but wasnt so keen on it. Was just like a pub here.

Neither of use bother with sports or tv bars normal when we are on holiday.Though I think I would probably make an exception if we were playing in the world cup final
