Looking at the possibility of doing this for my Wife's birthday an would appreciate any advice.
Is the food on board of good quality?
What are the bar prices on board?
Is the entertainment good?
Any other info on what is available would be much appreciated
Cheers
Jim
Some friends of ours have done this on a couple of occasions and would recommend it - not my cup of tea as I am not a good sailor!! They always have a great time and find the entertainment and food excellent. Last year they managed to get 2 for one on prices as well!
done this a few times both to amsterdam and to bruge the entertainment is good the food is well worth and is buffet help yorself so u can eat as much as you want have about 7 hrs in amsterdam if you do the straight there and back same day without a stop over it is 2 4 1 at the moment . well worth it just for the duty frees beer and wine quite cheap on the boat
anyone know the prices of a pt of lager on the boat also duty free cases of lager and wine and are cigs cheaper on the boat or in amsterdam
We have been to both Amsterdam and bruges, we always go in December, for Christmas markets and it is 2 for 1 on the ferry its very good value. Tranfer from port to brugges is around 30 mins Transfer from port to Amsterdam 1 to 2 hours depends on traffic. The food in the carvery is ok, but we always go in the la carte resturant which l feel is a lot better. Last year wine on the ferry was 6 bottles for £12. We buy cig in Brugge much cheaper. Hope this helps
Just returned from a Hull-Zeebrugge mini-cruise and found the Four Seasons buffet meals absolutely fine. The A-la-carte restaurant menu leaves much to be desired, if I wanted sausage and mash or liver and bacon fine but those are cheap meals I can have at home any time.
