Not stayed at Iberlagos but walked through the complex last September. It looked to be fairly quiet with several of the apartments still looking unoccupied, although the pool area was, and always has been, well maintained. The original Chinese restaurant on site ( Mai Tai, I think it was called), closed some years back when the rumour was that the bank had ' pulled the rug' on the development and everything appeared to have been mothballed for a couple of years. However, since then Iberlagos has gradually come back to life and more and more apartments seem to be occupied; whilst this was happening, the pool and its surrounds were always well maintained and kept in pristine condition - maybe because they were the prime selling factor for new investors.
Your views across the bay of Lagos will be shared with a Ms. Angelina Jolie who, it is strongly rumoured, has purchased a clifftop villa adjacent to Iberlagos.
There are a couple of restaurants within five minutes of the apartments and the town is a ten minute downhill stroll away. The uphill, return journey will take you an extra five minutes or cost about €4 in a taxi from the town centre. During the days, the tourist roadtrain stops hourly above Dona Ana beach and this will place you a three minute walk away from Iberlagos along the clifftop footpath.
Hope this helps a little and don't be afraid to shout if you need any more help.

thanks for the info, researched all there is on he net but theres really not that much up todate. fingers crossed it will be clean, everything else i can live with.
The location looks spot on and lagos looks perfect for my tastes. Im not really into places that are built for tourists and have no original charm.

I walked through the Iberlagos complex two weeks ago and everything looked tidy and well-maintained. April isn't a particularly busy time in Lagos but everywhere around the complex gave the impression that the place is being looked after in anticipation of a busy season.
