Yes, stayed at both the Lindo and more recently the Maya (xmas/new year 2010) and had a wonderful time at both. Maya gives you a couple more restaurants to choose from and also has it's own breakfast restaurant, which is quieter than the Lindo one and has a few extra items.
The rooms are very spacious and have a hammock on the balcony. Blocks 60, 63, 64, 65 & 66 have their own private pools which were very quiet when we were there.
You can use all the facilities and restaurants of the Lindo, Paraiso del Mar and Paraiso Beach and there are loads of restaurants to choose from, you can literally eat in a different place every night for 2 weeks.
Pools are great and there's poolside waitress service. Evening entertainment was also good with a terrific theatre and again waitress service.
Lobby bars in both the Lindo and Maya are really lovely and all premium brand booze.
Google Iberostar Maya map and you'll see a link down the page to the Iberostar-Board which gives resort maps as well as loads of forum info.
One of our favourite places in the Caribbean, we'd go back tomorrow and I'm very envious !
Thanks for that Husband chose the hotel this year so quite relieved to hear it is alright
