Iberotel Palace - Sharm

Considering this hotel for April 08 for a week. Does any of you good people know where it is, Is it in NB as I can't place it and as usual have lost the map? ( or possibly the plot )

Thought I might give AI a go next year as the last two years we have been B&B.

It's coming up cheaper than the two HT favorites of Coral Sea & Hilton SB. Looking to book with Thomson but if anyone knows a better group to book with I'd be grateful.

Pretty sure this hotel in very close to Old Sharm----------walking distance to Fantasia!!!!!

Mmmmmmm. That must mean it's somewhere near where I was this year as it took us about 8 mins to walk to Fantazia from the Rennaisance, think there might have been an Iberostar over the road on the walk to Fantazia, but thought it was Iberostar Club Fanara. :hmmm

I'm hopeless when I get back I can never remember where things are. :shock:

I'm kicking myself now as I could probably have had a looksee. :roll:

thanks Lyn. I was trying to use the search faclility but it just brough up streams of stuff. Your a star.

I was number 11 this year and the Iberostar that was v close was the Club Fanara so I wouldn't have been able to look round the Palace anyway. This one definately seems to be in Old Sharm which will be nice for a change. Everything for next Spring seems expensive at the moment.

Not tried the Iberotel Club Fanara but can get a week at the Iberotel Palace for about 1,950 pounds for the four of us. Also thinking about Luxor and various other places. The Portland Iberotel hotels in Marsa Alam look good too but I think it would be too quiet even for us. Shouldn't really be looking to book this early due to dire finances, but it is raining outside. Better go back to looking at the videos on the thomson site. :wink:

Dire finances here too chris .you are not alone. we are going to normandy in 2 weeks (no money for that) and have to pay another £3500 for Turkey also in 2 weeks and you guessed it :oops:

but what am i doing looking at flights to Rome for October :wink:

Just rechecked and the Iberotel Palace (great reviews) is only B&B not AI, thought the price was too good to be true LOL. Its the Iberotel Club Fanara that is AI and that's the same prices as HSB & Coral Sea and I think 2.4k is just too much for a weeks hol.

It's OK looking for flights to Rome, it's the booking them that causes the problems :wink:

I usually find chris that other areas i.e taba and marsa Alam are a bit cheaper so maybe worth a look for a week.Or you could join me in Nuweiba . You should be able to do that for under 2K . sounds like our price of £2400 (AI) which ive paid for the 5 of us is looking quite good

have you had a look at the thomsons "just the bits you want " ?

I think your right in what you say about other resorts, for example the Hyatt at Taba is always competative, normally under 2k and it's HB not B&B. Trouble is we like Sharm, I'm worried all the others will be too quiet. Apart from Luxor where we could do the 'sights'.
