Deep blue sky watching over a relaxed yet thriving Village surrounded by a wonderful back drop of pine cladded hills, hmmmmm I can almost reach out and touch the place yet I have still got all this week and the weekend to wait before we fly out from East Midlands at 11pm on Sunday.....
We expect to arrive at Dalaman for roughly 06:30 (turkish time), an hour exchanging dialect with the very cheerful guards that snatch that passort from your excited hands and snarl at you in the most loving and welcoming away before grunting you along to start your holiday. Oh you dont mind paying a tenner for that do ya....he he
Then we expect to board the coach that will take us home to icmeler (I say home, really it isnt but you know where I am going with this...). We hope to arrive at the Blue Star Apartments for about 8:30 turkish time, Book in, un pack and crash till dinner. Before chilling on our first day around the pool soaking up the delights we have longed for since booking this holiday.
This will be our 6th time back to Icmeler, although first time to Blue Star Apartments which is located in the old village, not far from one of our previous stops the Adler. We have enjoyed the Ercanhan, Yellow Rose, twice (Serigal Apartments as it is now known), the Adler and the Julian Forest and its family of wasps... lol.
By what I have read the prices have not gone up too much either and as we are dad, mum and two hungry mouthed little monsters I hope we have enough money he he he...
Cant wait to go to the Romance resturant, Ozzy's (I read on here that he has moved 200 yrds to a new resturant..), that gorgeous walk down that romantic canal to the beach where we will have our midnight strolls once more under the moonlight...
The BBQ nights, hope that belly dancer doesnt get me again. Well come on like most married men of nearly 13 years that has seen the best of 37 years, maybe my six pack days have long waved me farewell. Still did not enjoy too much that belly dancer making gestures that my boobs may have been bigger than hers....how ever true she was...
The familure calls "Taxi boat, marmaris..." thats the life. Oh and the market 'Cheaper than shop lifting....' their words not mine, as well as 'Asda price', 'Genuine fake' and of course the old favourate 'Ow much?' he he he
Yes I truly can not wait to soak up the turkish delights, it has been 3 years maybe a little longer since our last trip there. Can anyone tell me if that train still runs around the village, the kids loved that
I have read the Champion bar is a place not to be missed...if anyone else can point us in the direction of other good drop offs, then dont hesitate to guide us.
One final thing, then I will stop boring you....... where will we find the very best kebab ?
I will report back when we get back.... as they say in turkey goro sorus...he he.
