think thats where i need to be - have accomodation booked in Kos town, then once i arrive in Rhodes have accomodation booked in Rhodes town, then falaraki then Lindos and was hoping i'd arranged it in the right direction from getting off boat

All the ferries dock in sight of Rhodes Town about 10 minutes walk into the old Town. Where will you be staying?? Taxis are usually waiting at the port gates.

The big ferries dock at the bit where it says "Port Ferries" - the catamarans may dock in Mandraki harbour instead, but as they're quite large I doubt it.

staying in Astron Hotel in rhodes town for 1 night, then falarki for 2 nights and lindos for 2 nights in that order.

remembered off when i was in falaraki about 10 years ago rhodes town was one way and lindos the other - so hoped id got it right which i think i may have done

Well the Astron is apparently near the Casino (see the map!) so it's a fair old walk from the port - if you get a taxi, get in BEFORE you say where you want to go (and then make sure they've got the meter on). I've spent quite a bit of time trying to get a taxi from the port to the New Town and only ever seem to succeed once I've staged a sit in in the taxi The drivers don't want to take a cheap fare. If you have to walk it, it's not too bad.

You've got the order of resorts right!

All hydrofoils/catamarans/ferries arrive at Rhodes town, however at three different points. The nearest to the Astron hotel is the hydrofoils which arrive in Mandraki harbour(500yds). Next is the catamarans to Kollona quay(1000yds). Furthest away is the main ferry quay the far side of the commercial harbour(1 mile).
