We are going on an 11 nignt cruise 4 night stay with Africa Safari Club.
Fly to Mombassa
Board ship to Tanzania, mayotte, madagascar, mascarenes, mauritius, then 4 night stay in a Kenya beach hotel.
The brochure says we do not need vaccinations.
Does everybody agree, we are told Yellow fever vaccination is £40 per person, so if we do not need it I do not want to pay.
Thanks
Pick up the Health Advice for Travellers Guide from your local Post Office as it will list what you need or speak to the nurse at your local GP.
I used to have a link to a brilliant site which listed what was required by country, but they changed the url and I can't access it any more.
HERE is the WHO recommendations. Yellow fever is not mandatory, although it is recommended if you are travelling from an infected area so you don't really need it.
However you are recommended to have typhoid and tetanus and also malaria tablets.
Another site worth reading HERE, particularly the case study on malaria.
