Hi Tibbs, We have taken lots of small electrical stuff to our property on the Algarve & havnt paid any duty at all, but Turkey maybe different. Also with the TV make sure it is adaptable to the country otherwise it wont work, the signals differ, but if its a relatavley new one it should do but check on the tv instructions or ask someone who is in that line of business. Cheers Jayjan
Hi Tibbs, dont do it!!!!!!! If you smuggle it in your suitcase then Ok, but customs will murder you for tax if you get caught or do it through cargo. On average it's 180 euros per item...better to buy cheap here.
Do you mean it`s better to buy a cheap one in Turkey? It would be easier but they seem very expensive and have nt seen the smaller ones that you can pick up over here for about £80.
Hi Chelsea is it different in Turkey? We shipped at lot of stuff over to the Algarve and the transport company never paid any duty, nor did my hubby when he drove down with items. we have put things through outsize hold luggage at airport and never been pulled so maybe its the luck of the draw or different customs for different countries Cheers Jayjan
We bought 3 televisions a couple weeks ago from Tansas for 189YTL each
We ended up bringing our playstation and video recorder in our suitcase.
