Its still only $US10 for Tourist Cards and $US20 Departure Tax. Friends in the Dominican think it will stay that way until they run out of Tourist Cards at $US10 and print the new ones with $US15 on.
So the advice is take the extra $US5 per person just incase it could be your plane the first of having to pay the increases. Better safe than sorry not having enough $$$$ on you.
Angie.
Got back on the 15th and prices hadn't gone up then.
According to another site people are only having to pay extra if they buy before you go.
Hi,Want to buy our tourist cards for DR online, before i start I want to make sure i have all the details i will need. Is everything required on our passports (other than bank card details!!!!!)? Do we need photos or anything? And will i be able to do our friends cards as well(going on holiday with us)as obviously their name and address is different to ours, but it just makes it a bit easier to do all at once. Then do we just stick them in our passports or what?? Hope someone can help, Paula
Ooops, just realised, they are probably just printed cards with no details on. i thought they would be like the ones we have always needed for Goa. Am i right? Thanks in anticipation,Paula
Hi milliemeg, we are going to DR in May and like you, are travelling with friends. How do you go about getting a tourist card online? It's not something I've heard of before. It would certainly save filling in the cards in the cramped space on the plane
