I know its a long way off but we are flying to Goa via Mumbia with Jet and wondered if anyone has used them and could let me know what to expect
Thanks
Flew with them last year, they were fine, only drawback, Indian regulations means you cant check your bags right through to Goa. You have to collect them at Mumbai, then take them and put them through the xray scanner, then check them back in to the Jet desk, before joining the free shuttle bus to the domestic terminal. Strangley enough on the way back they didnt bother, so they went all the way through, still as it's India we should'nt have been surprised ! Alan
Thanks for the info it would be great if we didnt have to recheck bags in on the way back, do you remember what the luggage allowance was, and was the food ok
Food & flights were first class, a pleasant change from Monarch, when we went, the baggage allowance was 20 kgs but they did'nt seem too strict on this. Alan
just need to know the leg room as my parents are in there 70s and dads 6ft Also do you have to take your cases your selfs to the other airport at Mumbia ect ect please let me know ASAP before the price goes up Thanks All
sharon
The seat pitch in economy is I think 31" but you can check on Jet website. But a word of warning every other seat has a metal case that intrudes into the foot well under the seat in front of you.
Leg room is perfect and also with the Iron being every other seat then mum can sit there as shes only 5ft 4 also handing the cases to the jet airways staff will help them out
Is the food OK and Drink ? there so dam fussy lol gets worse as they get older but as its me who has to book them there holiday flights its me who gets the moaning
sharon
Food and drink very good. Choice of veg or non veg indian and non veg international main meal, plus another snack before you land on way out. On return leg 2 snacks. So plenty to eat. Pre dinner drinks plus wine with meal. Water and orange juice available all flight long. The cabin crew have always been very good and very friendly and helpfull better than BA club class. Im sure your parents will enjoy the flight.
Staff are so polite its unreal, they treat you like you're in upperclass on the domestic flights.
Now i have a problem has anyone had any trouble booking flights out of mumbia to Goa over the internet .Last year we did this no problem But upto now ive come up with they dont take credit cards over seas or there full so upto now were stuck in bombay
sharon
with Kingfisher Airlines no problem with the credit card
booking, they also have flights from Mumbai.
Ann
ps ,booked direct with the airline
It's only Air Deccan and Sahara who don't take international credit cards. No problem with Spice jet or Kingfisher.
Thanks
On Jet international flights all drinks are free, internal flights no alcohol
ssharonuk most UK travel agents would be able to book those flights for you, try some of the India specialists or the larger companies like Expedia, Thomas Cook or Travelocity.
I was looking forward to a monarch flight on our next holiday to Goa this year, only because i like the stop off at Bahrain and the radio stations on the monarch flight.
We're flying with My Travel again which is a direct flight.
Yes, your mad
We flew with Monarch in January and that was a direct flight. Does anyone know if the First Choice flights are direct? Yummymummy I too like the stop over the duty free shops are fabulous! I bought some super Lacoste items when we were there!! I love shopping
We flew from Manchester with First Choice in April and the flight was direct.
I don't think that the duty free in bahrain compensates for monarch flights
