We are meeting up with somebody next week at Ibis Hotel, Gatwick, who works abroad and is in transit between resorts.
We are hoping to go out for a meal, but I see that Ibis Hotel only offers "bar snacks" Does anybody know what these are like? Do they include cooked dishes or simply sandwiches?
Alternatively can anyone advise if there are any restaurants in the area? Not posh, but Beefeater type or Chinese is fine!
Thanks
Hi. Eaten at two great places the last twice we stayed at Gatwick. ONe was called The Greyhound, which was part of the hungry horse chain and the other was called the hot air balloon. This was similar to the Greyhound. You didn't have to book and the food was very nice and the prices reasonably cheap. They were pubs with the emphasis put on eating out. They are both only a few minutes from the airport.
Gatwick Airport Q&As thread in our Airlines & Airports forum also contains info and recommendations on hotels in the vicinity.
