Hello, I thought I would post about my experience obtaining adequate travel insurance for my family holiday's to Europe this year.
My son is on the Autistic spectrum, and also has ADHD, which I obviously need to declare as he is on medication and sees a doctor every couple of months.
After searching on the internet and getting various prices, I came across a website called Insureandgo, who I have used quite a lot in the past.
This is the first time that I have actually declared my sons disabilities on the travel insurance, because I thought that the insurance won't pay out if he has an accident relating to his disabilities ( it's not like he has a major medical health problem, my son comes under the mental health team).
Anyway, to cut a long story short, I realised my mistake, so made sure that this year I put down everything.
Insureandgo didn't charge me an extra charge because of my sons disabilities, and all the other insurers who i got quotes off did.
Travel Insurance Q&As topic in our General Holiday Enquiries forum, so you may like to update that too with your recent experiences of the company.
