Try the town of Soller, then if your'e missing the beach jump on the tram down to the port.

Or maybe Pollensa. A few kilometres to the port's beach and to those of Cala San Vicente. Plenty of good cuisine and some good small hotels as well as villas.

Santanyi is a lovely town, with some nice shops and restaurants and a weekly market. It has a lovely feel to it - I love sitting in the old town square watching the world go by. It is also close to beaches such as Es Trenc, Cala Mondrago and resorts such as Cala Dor and the lovely fishing village of Cala Figuera.
