.it doesn't seem to be truly all inclusive.....
This latest review would seem to confirm that http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/
What is the long trouser policy has anyone just returned from there who can tell me if this is in operation or not, it would save on the packing!!!
Can anyone tell me if there are toilets at the pool or if we need to go back to our room? I know this seems odd but this is our second time in Egypt and therefore we know about Pharoah's revenge and want to be prepared for any eventuality!!
I was at the hotel in 2007 seems so long ago now,
its a huge place but very nice, we stayed in the crescent building best views out to Saudi
And yes there are loo's near the pools so no worries there
When are you going? I have read about the AI policy too, you have to pay for alot by the sounds of it.. it seems AI only includes your main meals and drinks until 11 or so.. Were going end of August for Honeymoon looking forward to it, apart from the AI side of things the hotel seems very nice
i think the hotels strong point is the views out over the bay..what were your thoughts on the hotel?
I found the staff that take you to your rooms very rude and stand there expecting their tips and not a word of thank you, one member of staff was very rude to the point i had to mention it to the rep who then told the manager, within 2 mintues he had frog marched the said member of staff infront of me to appologise.
Its a huge place we did get lost a few times , the food is ok nothing was cold which is good, plenty of choice, none of us had any tummy upsets which was my main concern. the pools are great all one depth which is good for the kids, you can take the little bus "free" from the hotel to the near shops it runs alot everyday. The boat trip was great fun where we snorkled in the Red Sea and saw a lovely Turtle make sure you take under water camera for that.
So all in all it has its up and downs like most places but it was VERY relaxing
Im going back to Egypt next year but not back to the Intercontinental but the new Sensatori in Sharm.
cheers for the reply your not the first one to mention about getting lost. ive seen pictures of the rooms and they seem lovely and big, and lot of people have commented about the big showers.
ive seen the Sensatori on thomson website, have to say it looks the business, contemplating the Mexico one for next year possibly
IC seems to be rated as average when taking into account everyones reviews, be sure to review the Sensatori when you get back,
Cheers
Rich
The showers are great you get three people in there!! the whole bathroom is a lovely size and the beds well...........so so comfy and over sized i really didnt want to get back into my own one
The rooms are a great size nice and airy good channels on the tv we watched alot of the discovery ones in the evenings.
I cant wait for the next holiday and i shall post as soon as get home no worries there, the Mexico one looked the best but just that little out of my price range
have a great time
jules
yeah i read something about "swim up" rooms for mexico are a possible upgrade, sounds expensive..
I have booked the swim up room so hope it lives up to its rep
There is a wide selection of food, yes some of it is the same but there is so much choice that you just need to choose different things and not pile it all on your plate at every meal time then moan that its all the same. Oh and men do not have to wear long trousers in the restaurant.
