My boyfriend has a 5 year Irish passport, is this ok to use as I read somewhere that you have to have a british 10 year passport to travel.
Thank you
Is he Irish, why would he need a British passport to travel. If the Irish passport is still valid then he doesn't have a problem. Though I believe Irish 5yr passports are only issued to children. If he is over 18 years then he will need a 10year one eventually.
Yeah he is from Ireland. He got it last April & turned 18 in november there, will it still be ok or would he need to apply for a new 10 year one
My 19 year old son is using his (British) 5 year passport and will carry on using it until it expires next year.
Not sure about the 5 year bit but my hubby has irish passport and when we all give our £10 at Dalaman he gets about £3 change
My friend has duel nationality and the miser uses his Irish passport to save money
never quite understood why the difference in price of entry visa, can anyone explain.

I suppose it depends on the agreements they have with each country bluepeterno1
