littlebullet,
Welcome onboard
NCL-TFS-NCL (LS517/8) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

I like using Jet 2, going out to Reus from Manchester next Saturday. Really glad that this is operated by one of the 737's, we flew to Palma on a 757 - 200 a couple of years ago and it was the most cramped i've ever been. Luckily the flight on lasted 2.5 hrs. I find they have much more legroom on the 737 model.
Thanks Darren
A little help / advice needed - due to fly to Lanzarote in September for 11 days with Jet2. I have paid for one checked bag each (44kg in total). On a 1 week holiday this allowance is fine but am afraid of exceeding it for 11! I have bought a small suitcase to take on board which is 55 x 42 x 23cm and well within the limits stated for hand baggage on the Jet2 website but in reality it looks HUGE!! I haven't really taken notice of others' cabin baggage before and am worried that I will be made to check it in! This may sound stupid but can someone please allay my fears! I am aware that 10kg is the max weight but it really does look enormous for hand luggage lol!

You just need to be careful when packing that's all. I take less than that on a 2 week holiday including some diving equipment! As long as your cabin baggage is within the specified limits and you can lift it in to the overhead lockers unaided, you'll be fine. It's only when you excede the limits you'll have a problem and have to check it in. If you aren't used to taking that much cabin baggage, it always looks large when you push the limits.

Just be careful. But honestly I can manage 3 weeks with 22kg no problem, and still not wear a lot of what I've taken. They are very strict at Arrecife on the return journey, both checked and hand, so just make sure you don't go overweight.
I have never been anywhere near the limit coming home. Shall pack gingerly my massive hand luggage, to be fair my other half takes more clothes than I do
Question for Dazbo Flying out on Saturday to Reus from Manchester @ 13.45...seat config on online booking shows a 737, do you know whether it will be on the 737-300 or the 737-800?
barnio,
It is yes Darren
Thankyou
I am flying out next Friday from Manchester to Alicante on LS879. Since booking this flight three weeks ago , i have noticed that this flight has had two five hour delays. Does this seem to be a regular occurance with this flight? I am worried because i am only going for a night out.
A flight can be delayed for any number of reasons on the day so you can't really go off past history. Jet2 have had a few technical issues with a couple of their MAN based aircraft that has caused a few delays, plus it's the busiest time of the year so it's resulted in a few delays to some flights. I'm sure everything will be fine on your dates of travel. Delays are just an unfortunate part of air travel, there's nothing you can do about it and all airlines have them from time to time. Delays are as much of an inconvenience for the airline as they are for passengers.

Happy booking
silly question but we havent done on line check in before - I understand we print the boarding cards and then go to bag drop - are these areas just like a normal check in desk? if so what time do they open ie how many hours before the flight? do they weigh the luggage at this point? Thanks
The bag drop is just an ordinary check in desk where your luggage is weighed and tagged. It will open when the normal check in desks open.
thanks very much
Flown with these many times but delays seem to be the norm now.....4 hour delay out of Reus last night........we ended up flying home with a relief flight operated by "Strategic" airlines of Luxembourg! Not an issue to me...however...ended up at the front of the aircraft after going to the toilet not able to go back to my seat because of drinks service and ended up talking to a steward. He told me that they were based at Manchester for July and August for Jet 2 relief flights. LS930 should have departed Manchester at 13.50...he was alerted from standby at 15.00....1 hour to get together....2 hours to get a slot..hence they departed at 18.15.....not a text or rep from Jet2 to keep anybody informed. I kept myself informed via e:mail through a blackberry......loads of families though very peed off
the idea that they have an extra aircraft on standby for peak summer "just in case" is either quite reassuring or worrying - I'm not sure which! I know that easyjet sometimes hire in to cover planned peaks but standby cover must be quite expensive. So are Jet2 spending a lot of money making sure they can manage problems better or are they expecting a lot of things to go wrong?

I suspect the latter as they've been plagued with technical problems on the MAN based 733's over the last couple of months.
