We live in Ibiza and obtained our Visa through Madrid for our travel to India. It was returned to us within 10 days and the visa was valid for 6 months. However when we looked closely it stated that each visit was limited to 90 days and that a two month gap was required between each visit. Our visa cost us £235 for 2 people. I didn't have the chance to get it done in the UK. Luckily we were only going for a month this time, usually we go for 3months.

We flew with Qatar Airways via Dohar to Goa the flight was good. It was our 5th time to Goa and first time with Qatar Airways. We arrived in Goa on 31st December.

Calangute was very busy with many Indian tourists and the traffic was crazy as usual.

We rented a one bedroom apartment just down the road from the Post Office so it was only 5 minutes walk into Calangute and about 15 minutes to the beach. The apartment was very clean with the usual furniture, TV and Fridge. We also had a cleaner twice a week, which was also included in the rent. I have taken photographs of the apartment and would gladly pass them to anyone if they are interested in staying there. I can also pass you the email of the people should you wish to book it.

Calangute was busy for about 5 days early January and then for the rest of the month was fairly quiet. The busiest bar in Calangute was the Public Bar and some evenings people were standing waiting for a seat.

We spent most of the days at the Ritz Shack which is about 10 mins walk from Calangute steps towards Candolim.

At nights we visited a few Restaurants, After 7, Chef Souynemans (excuse the Spelling) Uncles Kitchen, Kim Faa's Chinese Restaurant, Sirroco Italian Restaurant Baga and Zicos bar which is located opposite the Osborne Hotel, were the main ones.

We visited Rabbie Burns pub a few times where Dave and Gillian gave you a warm welcome.

My girlfriend decided to attend a 3 hour Indian cooking course for 1000 rupees and said it was worth the price to learn how to cook Indian food properly. I have the details of that should anyone be interested in the course.

There seemed to be more Russians and Indian people than British there this year. I have uploaded a couple of video clips one of the beach and one with me walking through Calangute with the crazy traffic.

We arrived back in UK 28th January and then flew back to Ibiza yesterday. Thank you for reading this.
