Is there still a problem with the American 18 - 21 year olds invading Cancun at weekends for there drinking binges It one of the things that put me off a bit from going there.

Not that we noticed, stupot. There were a few (Brit/Fr-Canadian) under 30's in our hotel who had some "good" nights out, but there was nothing like to stories we'd heard before we went. It may be something to do with times of the year, like Spring Break and so on ...

I want to go next October..will the weather be good do you think? People keep saying to me that there will be loads of hurricanes but I can't find reference to them in any of the brochures, only how much sun there is a day!

Hi Dawnie, I arrived back from Riveria Maya on Monday (about 1hr from Cancun) and we had great weather. Admitedly the first 4 days where just rain but this was a result of us having the end of Tropical Storm Stan, but even then it was still warm so being brits we still went in the pool and used the swim up bar

When the weather broke it was about 87 in the shade at 10.30 in the morning!! Got a lovely tan and everyone in the office is jealous. Was out in the sun until about 5.30-6pm
