Pleased to hear you had a good time! We are going to this hotel in February and looking forward to it as the reviews seem good. What type of room did you have? We have booked a standard room for 2 adults and a child of 13 (who is on the small side!) and are wondering whether we should have booked a family room.

Were the a la carte restaurants worth booking? I think I read somewhere that you can only book for one day ahead? Do you know when the building work is due to be finished?

Sorry for all the questions!

hi.. we had a standard room block 12... a large double bed... dont know if the rooms that sleeps 3 plus are any bigger.. bu too be fair you wount spend much time in the rooms...

the 4 extra resturants are worth booking....

we got too the place the dalia resturant too book the 1st time at 10am and was only the dalia left. so we booked it... it was nice - nxt day we got too the dalia at 9.45 and ppl had already took there there card too book the resturant...( guy gives you a numbered card for the place you want & then you get called up too book ) so get there early... itailian was super....very nice.... people we met there went too the bedewin tent...for meal & they said it was an experince....not too be missed if your up for something diffrent, sadly we didnt have any time too book anymore as we went on excursions.
Iam sure you will have a great time.... if you go with an open mind & take no notice of the german's ......actually it was funny people watching.....and guessing where people where from!
They are buliding extra famly rooms but not anywhere near the reception/pools etc...they are buliding a extra reception area which i would say will be finished by the time you go.
tipping- each area has a thank you tipping box.....we just put our tips in there....unless we found someone who went out there way too help us....eg in the itailan and lobby bar...

oh on your last night or day the staff seem too go ott and be over nice....for tipping...but hey....its all fun.

top tip go snorkerlling & glass bottom boat......there is a submarine trip but go to the aqua centre & book a glass bottom boat cos you can actually swim off shore with them....totally awsome experince. we are looking too return nxt nov taking the kids with us.

please feel free to ask me any other questions it all helps to make your holiday a better experience.

ps... towel hire .. & sun loungers.

we had breakfast just after 9am got our towels & found our loungers( no chance on the beach at this time however later on in the day you may find the odd free lounger by the sea) we normally say round the larger pool... left our towels & bag on the table by the lounger and went for walks & swims & retuned throughout the day. this was you a sure too keep your lounger.

Thanks for the info Karen - it's really helpful!

We're flying with Thomas Cook. We've flown a lot with them, including to Egypt before, so have no concerns with the flight. When you say 'towel hire', is there a charge? Do they provide towel cards on check in with a towel exchange place somewhere?

Also, was there a kettle or hairdryer provided in the room? (I am trying to keep my baggage allowance as low as possible!)

hi. yes towel card given on at check in & there was 2 or 3 towel booths around the site. we where not charged for towel hire but i did read on other paperwork left in the room towel hire after 1st hire is charged but i think its a summer thing.
In our room we had safe/fridge/ hairdryer no kettle but i did miss a cuppa first thing in the am. However you can help yourself too hot drinks in a number of bars & lobby all day.

there are a few shops that sell all sorts including essenstials-except ladies monthly stuff......(just to warn you) they do sell nappies....heheh... one holiday I was caught out with it :-(

have you been to Hugharda airport before.. if not on depature there is alot of shops there & do seem alot cheaper for gifts etc.

its not far from the resort around 20min which is good.

cheers karen
