Wow, I'm another one that loves snow, so jealous. It's beautiful, seems to make everything so clean.
We have only had a smidge of it
You should have come to stay for the weekend Doe. We have had 12 cm's and it's still snowing.
you lucky people.. snowed all day yesterday and still snowing now and all we have had is a total of about 2 inches.. just up the road in Northamptonshire thy had 4 inch just overnight last night.... I miss a good snow fall

That's a lot of snow. It always seems weird when you know others have loads of it, but you haven't got much yourselves, it is cold here and we have a light covering in a few places, the odd roof here and there but roads especially main arterials seem unaffected.

This is funny- it is actually a cleaned version of the one I would have put on( about moving to the Highlands), but the language is too bad!
this is a great song by one of our local council workers done because of the complaints about the roads being closed....
I'm just south of Glasgow and the inch of snow we had yesterday is really all we have had this winter (and it has completely gone). I bought my daughters sledges for Christmas 2011 and they have still never had a chance to use them.

I love the water too but am not a sailor!
Thought you were aware I didn't drive? I see Brian, who drives for a living, likes a good snow fall & I'm sure Doe drives?
I live in Northamptonshire Brian and you're right we had 4 inches on Friday night then another 4 inches on Saturday night some of which went today but there are lots of drifts where the winds have blown it. We're fed up with the sight of it don't usually get it so bad here.
I'm orignally from Northants, and I remember as a child having so much snow (late 60's early 70's) that we were able to build igloos Mid 80's .... so much snow again, no public transport to get to work and would walk the 3 miles or rely on some kind person stopping to offer a lift hoping they were going in the same direction .. wouldn't do that now though:(
