Went for 2 weeks from 5th to 19th January.
We stayed in a lovely private apartment near the Campanario Centre. Weather was quite good, bit cloudy early on but the sun came out most days around 11am. The nights however were cold & windy. Couldn't go out without your jacket. Brr. We did get a tan though so wasn't too bad.
Prices were good. We were self catering so used the local Spar & Hiperdino. Bacon, bread €1. Lovely fresh eggs, thick orangey yolks €1. Bought cans of the local lager 26cents for 330ml, bargain! We bought kilo T Bone steak from Spar for €10 so big it wouldn't fit in the pan! Gorgeous.
We didn't eat out of an evening due to the cold wind but had a few meals out during the day down on the seafront which was lovely.
We'd hired a car so we're out & about during the day, visiting all the other places of interest. Ajuy, Betincuria, El Cotillo etc all beautiful places.
Any questions please feel free to ask & I'll do my best to help.
Shame about the evening weather though
Weather of an evening was off putting. Have been to the Canaries before in winter but the wind, welcome during the summer, was a bit too much for me. Brrr.
Guess one of the beauties of Fuerteventura is that you don't HAVE to hire a car to get about if you want to explore, given that the buses are relatively cheap and run pretty often (or did when we last visited)
We also have driven to the south of the Island, some stunning scenery down there too.
I have some photos on my phone that I will try (try being the operative word lol) when all's sorted.
