Hi everyone in HT land!
I've been to Tunisia 3 times but always on All Inclusive and never to PEK.
Can anyone tell me if self catering at the Kanta Residence is a good idea as I've no idea what the area is like for restaurants, shops bars etc.
Many thanks for any info given.

A few yards from the Kanta is an excellent supermarket and there is also one which sells alcohol on the right side of the entrance to the Marina. P el K has many hotels - mostly to the left of the Kanta and you can go into most of those - perhaps with the exception of the AI ones. Walking past the Marina there is a small zoo and past that an amusement park - and a little further on a Water Park. The Pirate ship trip is really good, but do book direct with the boat and remember to bargain the price down - great fun on a calm day! There is also the submarine trips, fishing trips, speedboat trips etc. If you haven't been to Sousse, there is a Noddy train and also TukTuk there for a few dinars. Nice for the children. So much for them to do and see - and having no fixed meal times - plenty of freedom to do it in. Enjoy - Jenny x
Many thanks for the info.It will give me sometning to mull over while I try and decide where to book for for next year.

Ive just got back from PEK and stayed opposite the Kanta, the Irish bar that belongs to the Kanta is a lovely place to drink the people are so friendly, even though I went half board we ate out quite a few times and found most things there pretty cheap.
