Hi guys.
I'm close to booking three weeks in Cyprus for August next year (2013) . I intend to do a week in Kapparis, a week in Pissouri and finish with a week in Polis however it's going to cost me a little bit more as I will fly to Larnaca and return from Paphos. The only reason I'm considering Kapparis is because those I'm traveling with want a beach week and the east is where the prettiest beaches are. I've not been to Kapparis, so can I ask you guys who have if you think it's worth the extra expense to include Kapparis as part of our holiday?
Thanks.
I have split your post from the "Who's going where" topic so that it may get more attention.

Thanks for doing that luci very much appreciated, the welcome also.

You've not been to Akamas/Lara Bay, have you.
Pretty? 30 years ago, yes. Fig Tree Bay:
Pretty? Yes, now. Lara Bay, Akamas, Paphos Region:
edwardes.m for your reply and the great images of Lara Bay/Akamas beach. I have been there it's a great beach area and so much more besides, one of the many reasons I/we have chosen to end our trip in the Polis area.
I see your point and it's precisely this reason why I intend to spend just a week in the east of the island. I tend to go to Macronissos bay, head right past the water sports area to a small bay area where just a few sunbeds are, it's much quieter than the main part.
I do in the main find the Famagusta beaches prettier than those in the west (apologies for the sweeping statement I made in the first post) but crowded beaches I agree are a problem. There must be some secluded beach areas accessible from the the Kapparis area it would be great if anyone could suggest some, I will be driving so any suggestion are welcome.
@ edwardes.m
When I have decided whether Kapparis should form part of our holiday it would be great to pick your brains for information about Paphos.
Thanks again.

I've not ruled out the Paphos return flight more so hoping those I'm traveling with can sleep the two hours it takes to get to Kapparis and also don't mind the journey to Pissouri, it's difficult trying to please everyone or maybe I'm trying a little too hard. I'll have a good look through the links now and comment soon. Again thank you.
