Brill hotel, going for the second time in December, just got the Chelsea strip for some of the waiters. Go to your Doctors for info on injections ect, we needed 6, I think we only paid for yellow fever and of course the malaria pills. We are going back on 10th Dec this year as well.

have you got any tips / suggestions for us? e.g. dress code , what to bring , not to bring? where to go / and NOTto go . who to do trips with ?

We were bed and breakfast in the hotel, so just casual dress for that, we ate out in Kololi down the strip again you don,t need to be dressed up for that. I would sugest abit of small change for tips because everybody wants those, especially when you land at the airport, will definitly have a few pound coins for that this time, then when you get to hotel, they will have a lot of pound coins so they will want to change them for notes, then you have pound coins for the return leg, the rest of the time they like a few dalassi. We found the food was really good there all over. We only did one trip which we used a local taxi man who my cousin knew. Otherwise people seem to go with Gambia experience or the tour company you go with. I wouldn't take too many valuables with you because they will want them, also they will ask you when you leave if you have any toiletries you can leave them. The children like exercise books and pencils.
