I stayed in the Karbel Sun a few years a go - very pleasant stay. Would guess at 1/100 the size of the PP. And Olu is a very chilled out resort - im sure you will enjoy

hi perrydog,
i have been to karbel before last may only went for a week though so this time going for 2 this is the first time we have been back to the same hotel twice, not a huge hotel though but apparently they have made improvements to the restaurant since the last time we visited nice area beach is only 5 mins away and lagoon is a bit further to walk probably about 15 mins at a guess, quite a low key resort but still plenty of shops and restarants, but for a bit more life we visited hisaranou in the evening but unfortunately when we went it was may and begining of season so quiet, i liked the hotel as just nicely run we went half board and were with friends and you know what it is like the week goes so quick just when you are in the swing of things you have to go home hence going for 2 weeks this time i will try and get some pictures of resort and hotel and then can post them on site

thanks for that will do hopefully, although not looking forward to flights booked with cosmos and they changed our flights last week  from 9.30pm in the evening which we thought was bad any way( but only ones we could get) to 11.30pm at night so wont arrive into resort until 05.15 then with transfers wont get to hotel till 7am in the morning    so we will have had no sleep till we go to bed tues night  cause we will get up mon at 9 then travel at 11.30pm not arrive till 7am so wont get to bed again till 10pm if we can last that long   think it will be a case of unload suitcases and head for beach to sleep mind you my kids will be so tired they will probably sleep anywhere as for me well it will be a case of really strong black coffee to keep me awake will probably look like this  for a few days   but at least its not long to go now and once the inital shock of flights is over its time to relax ,

F ound a good price for October at this hotel £58 for a week for the room, but can anyone tell me if they have mattresses for the sunbeds, looking at the photos and cannot see any. The plastic ones do our backs in.

Anyone looking for flights later in the year picked up a good deal with BA for 11 October 2 flights for £157.

Thanks

Hi,

we, my son and i, stayed here in May/June of this year, and the hotel was lovely (there is a long review from when we visited) we loved this hotel, its facilities and the staff etc and are already hoping to return later this year and also next. We actually went and were B+B, you can upgrade if you wish, and they did do an offer whereby if you booked 3 nights dinner you would get one night free, the food was good, and the BBQ night on a wednesday was very good value for that, but there are so many lovely places to eat, i would definitely only stay b+b again, and i wouldnt use this offer either. The food was good though.

The hotel has actually taken over the "white hotel" which although you can still book that separately, it has now got an additional pool area (which they use as a quiet pool area) and the additional pool bar, the hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff friendly, and it was in an excellent location for the town/beach. Olu was my first visit to Turkey, but it definitely wont be our last, it was our first holiday i can describe as perfect :D
If there is anything particular you would like to know, please do ask.

In answer to you Sandyglen, there were not mattresses on the sun loungers at the hotel, but i actually found them comfortable which I normally wouldnt.
