Ive found a hotel that i quite fancy for next year in kardemena kos but im not sure about the resort. Ive seen a lot about it being very lively and attracting young people. Is it like ibiza-lively or ok-lively?

We went to puerto del carmen in lanzarote a few weeks ago and the reviews for that said it was also a 'party town' but we didnt find that at all. It was lovely.

Never sure what to think. Im only 24 by the way but im not into going on holiday to see a load of over drunk brits. I can go to the local high street on a sat night for that!!

hi gopsill 1980, kardamena is a lively place at certain times of the year,i.e peak season,but there are places there to get away from it if you dont want the hullaballoo,and places if you do. we are in our fifties and have just come back, and love the place. the music in the bars stops at midnight, but there are nightclubs for those who want to dance the night away, at 24 you'll love it i'm sure,go for it and have a good time,happy holiday

I would say Kardamena is roughly like Puerto del Carmen in liveliness terms. It is virtually all british package tourists though and does cater for a wide range of ages. The music does not stop in bars at midnight the doors have to be closed at that time although this varies a lot depending on which greek island. Kos town is equally lively but is much more international in atmosphere. Places like this do reputedly get more lively in the hi-season mid July-August.

I've been to kardamena twice & i've booked to go again next year, its very lively in july/august time there's plenty of clubs which suit all music tastes.
The only thing with all the greek islands is the music in bars is turned off at midnight even though they are still open but then everyone goes to the clubs.
I hope you have a good time there it is a really nice place.

i went to Kardamena about 3 weeks ago now.. .right at the end of sept, and it was still really lively, had a brilliant time there, recommend it to anyone (you've gotta go to downtown :D)

what do people think of kardemena and do they play DANCE music as in, the sort they'd play in ibiza,

Hi,we stayed in Kardamena a few years ago and it was really good then,we haven't been to ibiza so dont know about their dance music but there is a great selection of bars and clubs so i would imagine there would be a good selection of music on offer.Cheers Mark.

I went to Kardemena a few years back and i must say it was one of the most drunken holidays i've ever had! We didn't stay at the kool pool but we did go there to drink and sunbathe every day. We went late october so it was near season end, music was good - commercial and r n b if i remember rightly. Go to harley's bar and the point - both good.

hi i am just back from malia and would quite fancy going to karmadena next year - does anyone know any good websites that give info on karmadena and what there is to do, etc. cheers

i went to malia in 2003 and i went to kardamena last september, if you liked malia then you will like kardamena. I'd say that its slightly smaller but all the similar things to do as in bars, water sports etc.

best way to find sites for any place is just to use google.
