We are staying at the Beach Bungalows part of the Kirosiez Three corners resort from June 4th, has anyone stayed there? I cannot find any reviews etc only on the resort itself. This is my first time to Sharm/Egypt and I am a little concerned after reading some of the comments on here, surely it cannot be that bad? Someone also said about people being locked in shops forcing to purchase and having to pay £30 to get off a camel? Surely it is illegal to hold someone against their will?
We are going AI and are taking £1K for the week for the two of us? Is that enough? Please someone tell me the good points so i am confident to go.... is it also safe to walk around outside the resort?
Sorry bout the questions but i am very anxious (i suffer from Panic Disorder)
i am also staying at the Beach Bungalows in the Kirosiez Three corners resort and i too would like to hear review - i go in september. i have heard that most people prefer to upgrade to the hotel from the beach bungalows - a little worrying. however, their reason is usually that the beach resort is too quiet at night, theres not much to do. i prefer this, but most do not. on the other hand, i have also read that a free shuttle bus runs from the main resort to the beach resort and to the main town every hour (until 12) and that the beach guests can use all the hotel facilities every night (and day). i love the novelty of staying in a wooden hut on the beach!!! there are pictures of the bungalows at holidayhotels.com.
Sorry I cant help with your accommodation question. But re your budget of 1000k for 2 folk who are on AI, that's a lot of money for Egypt. Unless you intend to do Luxor by air or the pyramids by air with a tour operator and pay for it from those monies, you will probably bring quite a lot home.
Make sure you use the safe in your hotel room or take the money in a secure form ie travellers cheques. I wouldn't recommend taking 1000k in cash.
It's not that I feel Egypt is worse than anywhere else, I wouldn't carry 1000k around in cash here either!. LOL
Oh dear. Yes most people upgrade to the main hotel. The beach bungalows are about 20 chalets, yes with sea view. There is a restaurant but that it is. It is about 20 minutes by transport from the main hotel.
we visited the beach on several occasions which was really idillic and had all the facillities for a day on the beach ie bar, restaurant and shop.
the beach bungalows were handy as you could hire them out daily for washing and changing, however the location is far to remote, yes there is a free shuttle bus every half hour but time keeping is not there strong point!!
the bungalow facillities are very basic and there is next to no staff available down there to sort out any problems or questions you might have.
i would strongly reccomend staying at the resort and maybe hiring a bungalow for a night
we stayed at Kirosez last septemeber, have to confess stayed at the complex. We did go to the beach a few times though. The bungalows looked very nice and seemed perfect for a romantic evening. Could see it being too quite of a night though, however the shuttle bus seemed to always run on time for us, it was only a problem around 5 when everyone was leaving the beach for the day. The food at both sites was always very nice and plenty of choice. The staff were always very keen especially if you give a good tip to start with, they do not expect one everytime but aftyer the first time i just seemed to get very good service and never waited for my drink to be refilled. I think the hotel were tring to get more people to stay at the bungalows as they were offering one night hire charges or a free 1/2 week exchange where they would do all packing and move our things for the second part of the week. Hope you have a fantastic time we would not hesitate to go back at any time. One final point, make sure you go on a scuba or snorkling trip best experience of my life (it was hard to say wow under water but i did)
Just back yesterday from this resort, stayed there the whole week, loved it staff lovely and you get a much better service than the hotel. A nice little community down there, people were upgrading to the beach from the hotel!! Lots outside this resort just across the road. Alf Leila Wa Weila is the most amazin place just a stones throw away from the beach. Not far from anything really and a taxi only cost 3le to old sharm and back and he waited for us when we were shopping. Very personal service and we were treated like royalty the entire week. I can highly recommend. They have there own taxi driver Saad, who was very generous and friendly. He took some guests out for dinner and even to Cairo for free!! He will do anything for you and will not rip you off, he took all the guests under hos wing as did all the staff. Wonderful, we are staying their again in November. We are a young couple and were never bored, made fabulous friends.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and looking to go back later in the year. A few observations:
It is spotlessly clean. We were very very impressed. Everything was extremely clean and very well maintained. Even some incredible creations of Swans and Crocodiles out of towels in our rooms.
Very comfortable rooms. Not massive but big enough. Plenty of hot water and good air conditioning (essential!)
Excellent service. Extremely friendly staff and very well looked after. If it wasn't too busy at the Beach Bar you'd have another drink handed to you before you'd finished the one in your hand. The guy handing out the towels would reserve us our loungers every morning so we didn't have to rush to get the one we wanted.
The snorkelling is just amazing. Crystal clear waters and lots of fish life around the pontoon all the time. Stunning.
The guys giving the massages were a bit much but very friendly. They don't take no for an answer but maybe later would get rid of them. I know they are just trying to earn a living but it was a bit irritating at times. You were never under pressure it was just annoying when you were relaxing.
The food at the beach is not great at all. Poor in fact. More like school dinners to be honest. We didn't go up to the Hotel where you can eat if you like. The booking info said you can't but you can. Other people said the food was a lot better at the hotel but it was not very good at all at the Beach resort. We ate out a lot in Naama Bay as food is pretty cheap. The pizzas and burgers are ok. The toasted sandwiches are not.
The bus service is an excellent plus. It runs between the hotel and the beach pretty much every hour and at lunch and in the evening also stops in Naama Bay. It's free, punctual and very handy. It drops you outside the Jolie Ville Movenpick and collects from the other side of the road.
It's really peaceful and relaxing there. Lovely view, really nice bungalows, great swimming and snorkelling - only let down by the food. We loved it and will be going back.
Couple of tips for anyone going here. You don't need towels as the hotel provides them and buy an extra bottle of water. You get one provided in the room and can fill it up whenever you like from the water coolers but the fridge in the room takes a while to get it cold. If you run two bottles you'll never be without cold water.
