unfortunately we dont have up to date reviews of these hotels. Have you been to KS before?
No i have never been before, we are travelling from bangkok to KS then to KL and singapore. Cant wait:) but really cant make my mind up about the hotels in KL and KS.
oh that is a brilliant holiday Love Bangkok, KS and Singapore. KL was good but not my favourite place- others have different views of course. I liked Koh Samui- have been 3 times. Have stayed within Chaweng- that was the Chaweng Regent. Great hotel in a good position. But I prefer staying outside of Chaweng. Chaweng was too busy for me. Where are you staying in Bangkok? Any questions on Singapore or KL stick them on the Far East forum and someone will help
I will post any questions about KL on the far east forum then, thanks for that
We have had one of our members stay there and she liked it.The only thing I would say against it is I don't really think that is a great area for travelling around Bangkok. I would always pick somewhere near the skytrain. Will see if I can pm the member who has stayed there
We're staying near the Khao San road ourselves this time. I was reading its only about five to ten minutes walk from the river boat pier which is a great and cheap way of getting to many of the sites of Bangkok and also can get you down to the Skytrain at Saphan Taksin
its about 10 mins walk I would say. We liked the area round about it and would have gone there at night but it was too much hassle getting there for us.
Will see if I can pm the member who has stayed there
Just back from Cambodia - and received Fiona's pm just before we left to fly to Bangkok to Viengtai PMSL at Fiona's memory - unlike mine which is like a goldfish!
Yes..we stayed there before and for just one night this Tuesday before flying home yesterday.
Would thoroughly recommend it. 6 floors - swimming pool on 3rd floor. Excellent restaurant and buffet breakfast too.
Having picked up Fiona's pm in Phnom Penh I purposely then took photos of Viengtai Hotel - let me unpack my backpack and I'll stick some on here! Been home about an hour! LOL.
It's been refurbished since we last stayed there and is excellent. The breakfast was self service - everything from curried cauliflour to noodles to sausages, eggs, ham, fruit, three different types of fruit juice, croissants, jam/honey, toast, cereal etc etc Very good value. We booked the hotel through Asiarooms.
Minibar, aircon, bath, VERY comfie beds/pillows, ample hanging space and lovely large roooms. Only downside I can think of is DON'T book a taxi from their reception - much cheaper to just walk outside and get your own
I'm hoping that you took those photo's the minute you arrived or I'll be highly embarrassed!! It's so tidy!
YES Glynis!! O.H. had STRICT instructions to stay out in corridor with backpacks while I took the pics! 15minutes later.....it looked like 'home from home'
Now - get over on to the Far East forum and lets hear about Cambodia
