If you look at the posts for the Marni Village, theres loads of information on Koutouloufari. I would be very dubious at letting kids that age go down there on their own, but we are all different. Its a about a twenty minute walk down but very steep on the way up, they won't need a torch!

If they head off to the Star Beach end of Hersonissos there is plenty of life there without even venturing into the town. I didn't see any real problems there last August, in fact NO problems, and I'm a stick-in-the-mud old giffer.

There were even foam parties/discos there during the day and all was fine.

The street lighting was fine from that end up to K.. and no need for torches, but I can believe an oxygen tank was needed on the central route.

A couple of shots of Star Beach. The Taverna in the top right corner is Anatolias and you get a good nights entertainment in there. Let the kids loose in Star Beach for a couplke of hours while you relax and enjoy it.

Bit of a missunderstanding going on, we would not let the kid's go down on there own, all 4 of us would go (may be they will have a hour or two on there own) but we would meet up & go back together. Thanks for the pics Parky45 i have gone back a few pages & got some good web links looks like a good spot for us . Good food & relaxed in Koutouloufari & a bit louder for 2 or 3 nights a week in Hersonnissos
