Ao Nang In Krabi is fab , we stayed at the Krabi Thai Village hotel which was superb, only a short walk into town and plenty of good restaurants nearby, stunning rooms , couldn't fault the place

we are going to krabi sands resort leaving this saturday, I'll let you know what its like.

krabi sands is lovely...just small with not much around in terms of bars and restaurants...which suits us as we find Ao Nang to built up these days.

We have booked Chawan Resort for March. Looks lovely but have not found any online recommendations to support this.

We were looking for somewhere relatively small, with "luxury" rooms, a pool and not too far from central Ao Nang, hence our choice.

I am slightly apprehensive although the contact at http://www.yourkrabi.com assure me it is fine

Ao nang is fantastic. got back about 2 hours ago, we can't praise it enough. we stayed at thai village which is 5-10 mins stroll into town, or 40 baht (60p) in the tuktuk. loads of bars and restaurants, but fairly quiet and romoantic. stunning views. most places serve fantastic fresh thai food and seafood, but the specialist places need checking out too - theres a couple of really good italian restaurants, and our absolute fave was Carnivore, a steak place, the v best fillet steaks we've ever had anywhere, and the staff reall look after you.
that said, the thai people everywhere were brilliant, so polite and helpful, cant do enough for you. also was the least threatening place I've ever bee, no sign of any trouble, crime etc.
